 Though it's difficult to see in the pictures below, these paintings have a layer underneath of designs, patterns and usually figures, too.   The designs are visible here and there through the colors and lines that you see at first glance.   Different patterns, shapes and colors emerge depending on what source of light illuminates the painting, how you are feeling and who you are viewing the painting with.
